


AIMS
The aim of the jazz education project is to encourage musicians of all ages to participate in playing jazz and to develop a new audience for jazz music.
METHOD
Professional musicians with experience in the field of jazz education undertake :-
GROUP WORKSHOPS providing the opportunity to develop improvisation skills
INDIVIDUAL TUITION tailored to individual needs
ADVISORY CLINICS indicating further learning opportunities
GUEST DIRECTOR working with established bands
COLLABORATION
Colleges and schools across the county have been happy to host workshops including West Kent College at Tonbridge, North-West Kent College at Dartford, The Leigh City Technology College Dartford, Hextable School, Invicta Grammar School Maidstone and Chatham House School at Broadstairs.
Collaborating bands have included the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, Kent Youth Jazz Orchestra, The Wilmington Stage Band and The Ben Beddoes Big Band.

EVENTS
